RYUS Noodle Bar Chosen as First Canadian Representative in Exclusive Pop-up Ramen Shop in New York City

The honours just keep on coming! Following the tremendous achievement of being invited to open a stall inside the prestigious Shin-Yokohama Ramen Museum in 2018, RYUS Noodle Bar has now been chosen to open a pop-up location in New York City’s popular Ramen Lab.

The Ramen Lab is a boutique, 350 sq ft space in NYC’s SoHo area that is dedicated exclusively to showcasing the world’s best ramen to New Yorkers in a limited-time basis. Various top ramen shops from Japan, USA, and all across Europe have been selected since it first opened its doors in 2014. The spot only has ten standing spots for customers, reminiscent of old-school restaurants in Japan. And now, RYUS Noodle Bar will be the first Canadian representative to open its stall inside this popular shop.

RYUS Noodle Bar, who recently opened up a new Queen Street West location, will now serve its famous rich Shio Ramen alongside a collection of other signature noodles in the Ramen Lab in a special limited period between October 22 to November 17, 2019.

“We are extremely happy that we have been selected for this exclusive spot” head chef and owner Ryuichiro Takahashi said. “2019 has been a year of growth for us, first by opening our new Queen West location, and now crowned with this honour of opening in New York”

In fact, Ramen Lab has been so impressed by the quality of ramen served by Chef Ryu that they have persistently requested him to collaborate with them since 2014. Earlier this year, the stars finally aligned and thus, ramen lovers in New York City will experience the excellence that is RYUS Noodle Bar. With this momentous occasion, RYUs Noodle Bar will have, for a period of time, simultaneous operations in Japan, USA, and Canada; a historic feat for an independent Toronto-based ramen shop!

Chef Ryu added: “It goes without saying that we will proudly represent both Toronto and Canada at New York’s Ramen Lab. We look forward to bringing the best of our brand to NYC and we thank everyone’s support in making this happen!”

Of course, RYUS Noodle Bar continues to be open to serve everyone in Toronto in their two locations. The management and staff at RYUS Noodle Bar wishes to welcome everyone to all their (ever-growing) locations!
